**Nasi Manu has paid a heartfelt and poignant tribute to ‘beautiful’ Benetton with the news that he is one of eight players released from the Treviso-based club.**\n\nLast week it was announced that Manu, Ian McKinley, Tito Tebaldi, Engjel Makelara and Antonio Rizzi are all leaving the Stadio Monigo, as well as club centurions Alessandro Zanni, Dean Budd and Marco Fuser.\n\nThe No.8 has made 21 appearances for Benetton since joining from Edinburgh in 2017, a spell covering the biggest hurdles life can throw but defined by Manu’s remarkable return to rugby 13 months after being diagnosed with testicular cancer.\n\nAll eight departures have thrust Benetton to new heights under head coach Kieran Crowley – the downing of Leinster at the RDS Arena in 2018 and first-ever Italian qualification for the Final Series a year later will live long in the memory.\n\n“In the three years that I’ve lived in Italy in Treviso,” Manu said. “When we first moved here me and my wife were so excited, it’s such a beautiful place with beautiful people.\n\n“It’s gone fast! And it’s very sad that it’s come to an end. It’s just a beautiful place with a beautiful culture, there are definitely some things we will take back home.
