**It’s been a long time coming but fans will finally be back in the ground at BT Murrayfield when Edinburgh take on Glasgow Warriors in the Guinness PRO14 this evening.** \n\nThe clash between the fierce rivals will be the first professional rugby match in the UK to welcome spectators since the Covid-19 lockdown in March. \n\nThe Scottish Government supported Scottish Rugby’s plans to host a limited number of spectators and gave the green light for the match to act as a pilot event for bringing fans back to live sport. \n\nThe 7.35pm kick-off will also be live on Premier Sports for those not lucky enough to be at the ground, as the Warriors seek revenge for last week’s 30-15 defeat that saw Edinburgh clinch the 1872 Cup for the third straight season and seal their PRO14 Semi-Final spot as winners of Conference B. \n\nScottish Rugby’s Chief Operating Officer, Dominic McKay said: “Our work with the Scottish Government will ensure that players, support staff and fans will be covered by a comprehensive event plan for everyone’s safety including physical distancing requirements. \n\n“Scottish Rugby would like to thank Government Ministers and officials who have helped us make this happen, and we hope our experience and learnings from a live spectator event can help all of Scottish sport, and the wider events industry restart.” \n\nThere will be strict rules in place at BT Murrayfield to ensure the safety of spectators, players and staff **[with more information available here](https://www.edinburghrugby.org/tickets-and-hospitality/matchday-information)** and in the below video from Scottish Rugby.
