**If ever I had any insecurities about advising Guinness PRO14 Fantasy Rugby players about their choices in this column, they were satisfyingly dispelled by the fact that I managed to rank first in weekly points for Round 11 last week.** There’s no gloat in that, I promise, as I’m still a fair way off the top and there’s some smart cookies ahead of me, but a bit of research and the odd punt or two on a few lesser known players can really boost the tally. The secret weapons shouldn’t really have been any secret at all. Munster were always going to bounce back against the Isuzu Southern Kings – and I picked them as my team defence for the week – but the emphatic nature with which they dispatched the South Africans meant that JJ Hanrahan had an arm chair ride and was able to rack up some kicking points, including six conversions, in a massive win. I also went for Shane Daly. Only 6.8% of our fantasy players chose him and he’s been bubbling away nicely with his performances of late. Two second-half tries and 87 metres in the game will do thank you very much. But you could have had any number of Munster performers in your team with the likes of Arno Botha with three tries and full-back Mike Haley, the top metre maker for the round, notching up 115 metres, three offloads and six defenders beaten. Munster travel to Zebre in Round 12 in what should be an entertaining game. If the weather holds and with both teams playing a good brand of rugby, you would be wise to pick players from these two sides as I feel there may well be a few line breaks and tries.
