South Africa seem to be timing their tilt at the Rugby World Cup to perfection. Since a semi-final appearance in 2015 it’s been a strange four years for the Springboks, from losing to Italy in 2016 to beating the All Blacks in Wellington last October. The trend in recent times though has gone steadily upwards, certainly since Rassie Erasmus took over early in 2018, and given their 16-16 draw in New Zealand last week hopes are only rising higher. Ahead of their final Rugby Championship match at the weekend, we take a look at how the Springbok squad is shaping up.
