Round 15 of the Guinness PRO14 brought tries galore, with plenty of sensational scores to feast your eyes upon. Munster and Ulster were both able to register victories without conceding a single point while Leinster also did the business over Zebre. Cardiff Blues and Glasgow Warriors put on a real show at the Cardiff Arms Park as the Warriors prevailed in a ten-try thriller, and Edinburgh Rugby ran in five against Dragons. Elsewhere, Connacht were victorious over Toyota Cheetahs and Benetton beat Scarlets to continue their impressive run. Darren Sweetnam – Munster Munster were already two tries to the good when Sweetnam dotted down, and they finished the game with seven scores in total – but it was the winger’s try that was the pick of the bunch. After to back-to-back kicks through, he charged into the in-goal area and touched the ball down just before it went dead for a stunning score. James Johnstone – Edinburgh Edinburgh’s James Johnstone twice put his side ahead in the opening quarter-of-an-hour at BT Murrayfield but it was the first of his tries that was the most eye-catching. Chris Dean cut a stunning line through the Dragons’ defence before the ball was shipped wide for Johnstone to jink his way past two tackles and run in the score. Kieran Hardy – Scarlets Scarlets were leading at half-time in Italy but were ultimately beaten by Benetton at Stadio Monigo, despite Kieran Hardy’s superb effort. A driving maul saw the ball distributed out wide by Hardy, who then followed it as it made its way out wide to Ioan Nicholas. He then spotted Hardy on his inside shoulder and offloaded to the scrum-half to finish the move off. David Tameilau – Glasgow Warriors There were ten tries in Glasgow’s game against Cardiff Blues but none better than David Tameilau’s. George Turner ran a beautiful line through the Blues’ defence and bulldozed through another tackle before offloading to Tameilau to raise the roof off BT Murrayfield. Garyn Smith – Cardiff Blues With three minutes left on the clock, the Blues still needed a converted try and at least two penalties to overturn the Warriors’ lead – and Garyn Smith answered the call. Following a melee for possession, the ball was eventually chipped out wide into the hands of Aled Summerhill, who turned on the afterburners, and just before being pulled down short, cleverly popped the ball up for Smith to score.
