It was quite a weekend for the Guinness PRO14 sides in Europe. There were wins aplenty across both the European Champions and Challenge Cups and the Irish provinces were central to the successful weekend. The disappointment of the national team’s quarter-final exit in Japan was well forgotten in a cleansweep of wins. Jacob joins in It hasnt been a dream 2019 for Stockdale. The Ulster winger dropped the ball over the line against Leinster in THAT quarter-final the last time his province played a quarter-final. He then went try-less out in Japan, but at the death on Saturday he came up big. Holding on for the win at the Rec against Bath, Zach Mercer was charging to the line with a try beckoning and Ulster looked in trouble. The No.8 just had to draw the last man and pass to his winger it seemed, he did his job but then out of nowhere appeared Stockdale with the intercept and Ulster survived. The relief was palpable, and just maybe Stockdale is back to his best. Just going to leave this here… https://t.co/IZZbEz1hU9— Ulster Rugby (@UlsterRugby) November 16, 2019
