The first rest weekend of the Guinness PRO14 brings with it the first real chance for teams to take stock and assess their starts. Yesterday we analysed three of the early pacesetters and what has made them tick in the early skirmishes. Today it is about the basement boys, the sides with plenty of room for improvement. Glasgow Warriors Dave Rennie’s side have made their name over the last seasons as the great entertainers. They have scored tries for fun and been the consistent class acts of the regular season. Of course no side is hit harder than them by a World Cup with a huge chunk of the Scotland squad calling Scotstoun home. But Scotland are out now, the boys will soon be back in the fold and the Warriors must set about re-building their early season form. For such an attacking outfit, they have only scored 52 points across their first two games. The Toyota Cheetahs for example nearly put more than that on them in the opening weekend!
